This 2008 B5 S was previously imported from Qatar and was purchased by its current owner in the UAE in late 2023. It should be noted that the current owner completed a major service in October-November 2023. The Alpina comes with two original keys, manual, service booklet and parts reciepts for the last service.

A pre-purchase inspection conducted at Downshift Auto Services in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi noted the following:

• The owner fixed both a minor leak in the steering rack seal and damage in the front left control arm ball joint after they were revealed in the inspection report
• Front left (driver side) soft door close is damaged
• BMW AGM battery recommended in place of existing battery
• Missing plastic engine cover

This car has been in 4 reportedly minor accidents in Qatar as per the government traffic file. For clarification, these accidents were classified as "simple accidents" by the Qatari traffic authorities or without injury to the driver or any passengers. Evidence of repainted panels on the front and rear fender were found and noted on the Inspection Report.

"So, it doesn’t have an award-winning V10 or a seven-speed automated manual gearbox or quite as much steering feel, so why would you buy a B5 S rather than an M5? Well, there’s the small matter of more power and torque. Then there’s the bragging right of having no speed limiter and the potential to do 197 mph (317 km/h). But most of all I think it’s the fact that the B5 S doesn’t feel like such hard work. If there were two chairs in a room, one a fantastically sculptural work of anatomical constriction, the other a squashy leather job, you’d probably try the contorted plastic one first. But you’d settle happily in the armchair. That’s how the B5 S feels. I reckon if you bought one of these, you’d live with it in utter contentment and never feel the need to change a thing."
